Upon referral, each child, or adolescent, is initially evaluated by a physical and/or occupational therapist. Kids are placed in groups comprised of peers of similar ages, and developmental levels. The ratio between kids and therapists is typically 2:1. Fitness Center sessions occur quarterly (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall). A personalized exercise program is designed for each child over the course of a quarter, to address their personal goals.
Fitness Center groups provide a fun, motivating, low-stress atmosphere where kids learn how to use typical gym equipment, work in a team, and become more independent with their health and fitness goals.
